Background
Babylon Charitable Trust was initially established in 2005 to provide useful community based services to the Middle Eastern origin migrants in Auckland. It is based in the North Shore of Auckland. This organisation is registered with the New Zealand Companies Office and the Charities Commission.
Charitable Core Activities
Seniors Programme
The senior citizens are amongst the important part of the community because they help to bind families together with their generic values they brought from life together with their original cultural relationships. We want to make sure that they pass on these values and wealth of knowledge to the other generations of the community.
The Trust has continued running this programme since 2016 for the senior members of Babylon Charitable Trust.
Education Programme
The younger generations of our community is considered as one of the main focuses the Trust trying to achieve towards providing a weekly service to families to maintain cultural and religious values to the new generations.

Sports Programme
- Table Tennis activities.
- Zumba.
- Soccer.
- Fishing.
Sport is an important activity for the community, so the trust decided to establish this programme to include all ages and genders. The programme includes different sport activities which started in 2018.
Relationship with Other Organisation
Babylon Charitable Trust have established excellent relationships with other funding and supporting organisations such as the Pub Charity, COGS and the Auckland Council as well as other supporting charitable organisations such as Kaipatiki Communities Facilities Trust and Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust.
Babylon Charitable Organisations is gratefully acknowledging support that received from different organisations in New Zealand. Without their generous help and support it would have been very difficult to carry on with its charitable programmes.

Trust Long Term Objectives
- To obtain permanent premises for The Trust to cover all activities under one roof.
- To promote friendship, mutual respect and understanding between the Community and the New Zealand society.
- To preserve, revive and disseminate culture heritage of the Community among new generations.
- To develop charitable activities and welfare of the Community in New Zealand.
- BCT considers necessary to achieve those objectives and future goals through the “Cultural and Social Community Center”, to develop its charitable activities which will cover the following programs and activities.
- To promote joint charitable activities and cooperation with the New Zealand society and the Community’s culture, customs, history and way of life through books, magazines, newspapers, lectures and statements etc.....
- To provide information and advice to assist the new migrants of the Community to settle in New Zealand.
- To participate actively in the developments of a culturally, pluralistically and charitably cohesive society in New Zealand relevant communities, organizations and structures.
- To promote actively with other charitable organisations by means of sending donations to support its activities.
